After being on the Davis family property for 17 years, we had to say goodbye. It was sold and the new owner decided they didn't want to host our broadcast antenna on the property. This had us scrambling to find a new location. Southern California real estate can unforgiving and because we're a small non-profit, we needed a property owner that understood our mission and that our resources were limited. After speaking with several folks, we found the perfect spot that will not be sold anytime soon.

the move!

Our amazing consulting engineer has our request with the Federal Communications Commission on August 5th, 2022 to relocate the antenna to the new property. Believe it or not, a radio station can't just move the antenna anywhere and start broadcasting. We share airspace with so many. From flight communications to military communications and other radio stations the process can be complicated. Thankfully our application was approved on August 25th, 2022!

Now that we have the construction permit, we need funding to build out our new transmission site.

We are looking for moving buddies to help us move us over the finish line financially.

This project will cost us about $9200 to complete and we currently have $900 in donations for this project.

If you have been thinking about making a donation to support our non-profit radio station there is no better time than now. With this move and your financial support we are securing the future of Alpine's 107.9 for many years to come.

Why should you donate?

With your financial support we can continue to serve this community for years to come.

We're so much more than music.

While we are known for playing country music that you won't hear anywhere else on the dial, we have invested heavily in infrastructure to help our listeners stay safe in the event of a natural disaster. From our direct digital connections to the Department of Homeland Security, FEMA, and the San Diego County Office of Emergency Services that immediately stops programming and broadcasts information you need to know to keep your family safe. We've also fortified our broadcast operations to continue streaming in the event of power loss.

Finally, we are the only broadcast outlet in Alpine, It's our home and yours. We hope that you consider what we do valuable and will make your donation today and possibly consider making a monthly recurring donation.

I don't listen on 107.9 FM. I only listen online.

For those of you that listen online, your support is needed as well. Without 107.9, there is no online streaming. While we have been able to serve you online during this time of transition, without a FM broadcast signal all operations and programing on our station will not exist. Online streaming is one of our biggest expenses and the financial benefit doesn't cover the expense. Donations and underwriters keep us going on FM107.9 and online. Without it, we're gone.
